Responds to medical emergencies of various natures in Sacramento County and transports to local emergency departments. Paramedics at AlphaOne are supported by a 24-hour supervisor utilizing state-of-the-art medical equipment.
Must be able to:
Drive an emergency vehicle in rain, fog, day, and nights
Maneuver a type-2 and 3 ambulance with proficiency and safety
Lift 150 lbs
Pushing, pulling, squatting and climbing steps
Work in a fast pace environment
Provide excellent patient care
Provide excellent customer service
Must provide proof of:
Valid California Drivers License
Valid Ambulance Drivers License
Clean H6 report from DMV (7 years)
Valid medical exam certification
California Paramedic License
Sacramento County Paramedic License (This may be obtained post hire)
The Critical Care Transport Nurse (CCT RN) applies critical care knowledge, skills, and the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients during transport. Collaborates with fellow employees and hospital staff to ensure safe and effective care. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team. Furthers professional growth by engaging in activities, such as clinical simulations and courses, according to the Critical Care Transport Program and the California Board of Nursing standards.
Under supervision of the communications manager, this position performs a variety of skills and semi-skilled functions in support of the communication center; receives and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls assist with ancillary services; provides Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) direction and participates in the work of a dispatcher/call taker and performs other duties as assigned.
